Late C18 or early C19 inn.
Two storeys. Slate roof with rendered chimneys to ends and centre. Three-window roughcast front with 2 facets as road turns and drops to R. Right hand (larger) facet of two windows with roughly central doorway. Two 12-pane sash windows on each floor.Ledged door. Left hand facet of two closely set window bays. A 12-pane sash window on first floor to left hand; two similar windows on ground floor.
A late C18/early C19 inn retaining its overall character, and with Group Value with adjacent listed buildings in Newgate Street.
