History

Perhaps C18.

Exterior

Former public house. Stone walls; roughcast; painted plinth. Slate roof; earlier rubble flanking stacks partly raised in red brick. Front to The Watton of two windows with central doorway; tripartite sash windows. Upper windows hornless with horizontal glazing bars missing; lower windows horned with 12-pane sashes to centre. Left return has single square sash window to each floor. Two-storey rear wing along Gasworks Lane.

Interior

Now one large ground floor room. Large stone fireplace to W; said to be further fireplace to E behind modern panelling. Beamed ceiling.

Reasons for Listing

Former public house retaining historic character, and with group Value with adjacent listed buildings in The Watton.
