Late C18 or early C19 substantial house, altered in C19. Marked on 1888 O.S. as St Martin's House. Since 1974 a modern central columned porch with semi-circular pediment and lattice patterned pilasters has gone.
House, attached to No 26 to right and to former stable court now No 30 to left. Unpainted roughcast with slate roof and brick end stacks. Three storeys, three-window range of large hornless 12-pane sashes with slate sills. Central six panelled door with fielded panels. On left, a two-storey extension with one 16-pane sash each floor, close-eaved roof and small brick left end stack.
Interior not inspected.
Included for its special architectural interest as a substantial late Georgian town house.
