History

Early to mid C19 front, lower than No 8 adjoining. The doorways had paired frames with architraves, the architraves of both and the hood of the left one gone since 1974.

Exterior

End terrace house, painted roughcast with slate roof and brick right end stack. Three storeys, two bays with altered windows in original reveals. Top floor has square 6-pane sash to right, tilting 6-pane window to left. First floor has 12-pane sash to right, C20 12-pane to left with top panes tilting. Ground floor has fixed plate glass in right window and coupled doorways to left. Doorways had architrave frames and friezes framed by console brackets with flat hoods over, but since 1974 frames of both and the frieze and hood of the left door have gone. Left door now late C20 boarded, right door is 4-panel with overlight.

Reasons for Listing

Included for its special architectural interest as a terraced house in late Georgian style, of group value with Nos 6 and 8.
