Exterior

Probably later Cl9, high terraced retaining wall between Hamilton Terrace and Docks below. Red rubble stone with l3 large arches with cut stone voussoirs and rubble stone facing to cliff within each arch.

Reasons for Listing

Not apparent in l835 drawing of Milford. 1880 photograph shows six eastern arches only.

Prominent in all views of Milford from the Haven and the docks.

Group value with other listed items along Hamilton Terrace.
