At S end of the site of Stackpole Court, at N of the brewery group.
Designed by Henry Ashton, architect, in 1843. One of a set of buildings constructed around a pre-existing game-larder. The entrance gateway to an important part of the service arrangements of Stackpole Court, now preserved by the National Trust.
Arched gateway in coursed ashlar masonry. Cornice consisting of four corbelled projections.
The W wall of the adjacent game-larder was refaced in similar masonry as a link between the gateway and the brewery and dairymaid's cottage.
Listed for group value with the other survivals of the Stackpole Court buildings.
