History

A cast iron mile marker erected by the Second Division Turnpike Trust in c.1830 on the old road from Welshpool to Montgomery.

Exterior

Cast iron mile marker, triangular in section with a sloping triangular top, reading, on the left WELSHPOOL/ /4-M and arrow right, and on the right MONTGOME (...) / 4-M and arrow left.

Listed for its historical significance as a survival of the Montgomeryshire Turnpike Trust.
