Early limekiln, probably late C18 or early C19. Of unmortered boulder construction, some 3m high and 3.5m square, with rectangular tapering eyes to the E and W sides. Flat top with slab coping and large central crucible; this is conical in shape and is lined with small rough-dressed rubble blocks.
Listed for its special industrial/archaeological interest as a well-preserved early limekiln.
