History

The terrace of cottages Nos 19-24 (consec) were built probably in the early-mid C19.

Exterior

Modern glazed door and 6-pane replacement window. Two-storey extension to the rear.

Reasons for Listing

Included, despite recent alterations, as a member of a significant row of early C19 village vernacular cottages probably the earliest and simplest of the rows of cottages which form the essence of the character of the conservation area in this nucleated village. The extent of the row and the quality of detail suggests they were built by an adjacent landowner or wealthy farmer for workers.
