Grave of David Lloyn George

The englyn on the plaque over the gates to Lloyd George's tomb is by his nephew W R P George, who died 20 November 2006 at the age of 94.

It reads:

Y maen garw, a maen ei goron, — yw bedd
Gŵr i’w bobl fu’n wron;
Dyfrliw hardd yw Dwyfor lon,
Anwesa’r bedd yn gyson.

The rough stone, stone of his heart, is the grave
of a man who was a hero to his people;
a beauteous watercolour is the merry Dwyfor,
t'will ever caress his grave.
