History

The house was probably built in the late C18.

Exterior

The house is constructed of local rubble stone and whitewashed, with a slate roof. Two storeys, 3 bays, approximately symmetrical with a central boarded door, and 2-light 6-paned windows to each bay, and 4-paned to the first floor, including over the door. Gable end stacks with drip courses.

Reasons for Listing

Included as a larger farmhouse of the later C18-early C19 constructed in a village setting, well preserved externally, of a type which appears to have set the pattern for later substantial houses of the village.
