Forecourt low wall of c1865 by Matthew Digby Wyatt as part of his remodelling of Cefn Tilla for the 2nd Lord Raglan. The unusual use of half-round tiles may come from Italian gardens.
Low forecourt walls or rails constructed of half-round red clay tiles superimposed in 3 staggered rows on chamfered coping on low rubble stone plinths and carrying moulded grey stone capstones. Grey stone piers with matching bases and caps between stretches of rail. Five sections to E side with low iron gate to left, 4 sections each to W and N, the N with centre carriageway.
Included as an attractive and well-designed Victorian garden feature, of group value with Cefn Tilla Court.
