History

One of a mirrored pair of C19 terraced cottages, paired with Cilrhiw. Door detail similar to No 14 The Norton, window surrounds as on No 6 Cresswell St.

Exterior

Cottage, one of a pair of painted stucco houses with slate close eaved roof and red brick end stacks. Two storeys each house with one-window range of 4-pane sashes in outer bay and arched doorway in inner bay. Doorways are closely paired and have roll-moulded leading edges. C20 recessed door to Cilrhiw, original 6-panel door to Winkle Cottage with plain fanlight. Sill bands and stucco shouldered surrounds to windows on both floors. Raised plinth. Winkle Cottage has C20 shutters.
