Cross in St Sannan churchyard

A Grade II Listed Building in Bargoed, Caerphilly

Cross in Churchyard of St Sannan, Bedwellty

Probably the oldest building in the district. A place that has significance for me, having been born in the former parish of Bedwellty and later married in the same district. My previous visit the St Sannan’s was in autumn 2021 with my good friend Neil. Sadly, he died a few weeks later from a heart attack, aged only 53. We were both in awe of this special place where our Welsh-speaking ancestors would have come to worship.
