History

One of a pair of houses, earlier to mid C19, probably built for industrial workers, latterly a shop in No 42.

Exterior

No 41 has 9-pane sashes upstairs and 12-pane to ground floor right. Shaped decoration to piers and plinth. Roughcast right end wall with added outshut to rear and chimney on end wall roof slope. Outshut roof has been raised in C20.

Included as a rare example of well-preserved earlier to mid C19 housing in the region.
