History

Dated 1785 by Thomas Richards of Llandyfaelog, and subsequently widened to double carriageway.

Exterior

A rubble-stone double-carriageway single-span bridge, built into a steep bank on the NW side and with a long approach to the SE. It has a segmental arch of cut voussoirs. On the later NE (upstream) side the arch has a projecting keystone. The parapet has been rebuilt, but retains its original stone plaque, inscribed 'This bridge was erected at the expense of the county by Tho Richards Mason Llandevilog 1785'.

Listed for its special interest as a well-preserved and dated C18 bridge, with C19 widening.
