History

The bronze dial is marked 'The gift of / the Reverend / M Pryse / 1810' and with a Latin motto. According to T G Jones, the dial was then presented to the parish by the curate, the Rev. M Pryse; it is said that the dial was purposely set by Mrs Pryse a little fast to induce the parishioners to be more punctual in their attendance at church.

Exterior

Turned sandstone pillar of baluster form anout 1½ m tall, standing on a circular stone base. Octagonal dial complete with gnomon.

A good churchyard sundial, listed also for group value with St Ffraid's church.
