History

Single-storey cottage probably earlier C19, said to have been the village post office and stores. Apparently of lobby entry plan with the door against the chimney breast at the right end.

Exterior

Cottage, whitewashed rendered with tarred slate roof and small brick stack at right end. Single storey with loft doorway against chimney to right. Two 4-pane sashes and plank door with timber lintels, the heads and sills stepping downhill and the upper window narrower than the second. Loft window in left end wall. Tiny skylight in roof.

Interior

Not inspected at time of survey.

Reasons for Listing

Included as a good well-preserved example of a small vernacular cottage of the region, a type becoming rare.
