The cowhouse appears to have been built in mid C19, probably contemporary with the adjacent stables and cartshed; not marked on the tithe map of the parish, 1840, but in place by the First Edition OS map of 1880.
Linear single storey range built into raised ground giving access to pitching doors along the rear of the range. Built of coursed, mortared rubble masonry with large stones as quoins and lintels; slate roof with tiled ridge and advanced verges with shaped barge boards. The principal elevation opens into the yard to W and has 5 doors evenly spaced along the range; 3 pitching doors to rear.
The interior was not inspected at the time of the survey.
Included as a little altered C19 cowhouse that forms part of a group of agricultural buildings that are an important element in the ensemble of domestic and working buildings at Cors y Gedol.
