History

A probably early C19 rebuild of a C17 house. Church Street had some widening as part of the improvements associated with Priory Street and White Swan Court in c1837, but according to the maps the south side of the street had been set back in part previous to this. It is not known whether Nos. 9 and 11 are a complete rebuild or if C17 fabric remains.

Exterior

Late C19 shopfront with central entrance. Low stall-riser, 2-pane windows with narrow mullion, recessed part glazed door; wide fascia with heavy moulded brackets at either end. Rear elevation not seen.

Interior

Interior not available at resurvey, apart from the shop premises.
