Part of the public water supply system provided for Llanover estate village by Lady Llanover, probably in the mid to late C19.
Roadside niche built in random rock faced conglomerate rubble with some stores neatly squared. The niche contains a rough stone trough and a water spout with, above it, a panel no longer legible. The niche coping is ramped up with rough stones.
Included for its special interest as part of a C19 village water supply provided by a philanthropic estate.
