History

C18-C19, but probably contemporary with the restoration of the church by Penson, 1854-9. Shown on the first edition Ordnance Survey of 1874.

Exterior

Wrought iron railings on a dressed chamfered stone plinth. Plain railings with spear finials; the posts have shaped cast iron finials and are supported from the rear by brackets. Single gate towards N end in the same style.

Reasons for Listing

Listed as well-preserved wrought iron railings in a prominent position in the churchyard. Group value with the Church of St Peter and the main churchyard gates.
