Farmhouse, now house. C17 or earlier, enlarged in C18; altered and enlarged in C20. Timber frame with brick nogging, some tile hanging; red tile roof. Single- depth 3-unit plan, plus addition at west end. Two storeys, with 3 windows at 1st floor; the centre and right-hand half of the north front have exposed timber framing (a flint plinth to the centre), including sill, wallposts, mid-rail, wallplate, secondary rails and studs, and one down-brace; there is a doorway in the centre, a 2-light fixed stair-window at mid level to the left, 2 single-light windows to the right at ground floor, a 3-light casement at 1st floor above the door and a square window to the right of this; an added single-storey service wing at the left end; and a ridge chimney. The left (east) gable wall has exposed timber framing with passing braces. The rear has timber framing which appears to be modern rebuilding (with nailed joints and no sill), modern casement windows and French windows at ground floor and 2 weather-boarded gablets over 1st floor windows; at the west end a 1-bay C18 addition with a segmental- headed window at ground floor; and in front of the right-hand end a prominent single-storey addition which is not of special interest. Interior: chimney stack between 2 closely spaced cross-frames (perhaps former smoke bay), and small inglenook fireplace with chamfered bressummer; common-rafter roof; timber- framed longitudinal passage partition in centre bay (probably a modern addition).
