House. C16 to rear; early C17 front range, with early C19 facade. Timber
framed, plastered gable ends, colourwashed brick facade, modern concrete
pantiles. 2 storeys and attic. 3 window range, 3-light casements, cambered
arches, wooden eaves modillion cornice, flat parapet, 3 shallow-pedimented
dormers, internal stack. 2 doorways with inset 6-panel doors, raised and
fielded panels, the left hand doorway with frieze and cornice, the right hand
doorway with pilasters, reeded frieze and cornice; above each doorway is a
Royal Exchange Assurance Co. firemark of 1801-2, probably the date of the
facade. Rear wing with original brick gable end. Some exposed joists to rear
wing; Adam style fireplace to one ground floor room.
