Former farmhouse, now 2 cottages. In 2 sections. The north cottage is a hall
range of C15 date with later alterations. Timber framed and plastered with
thatched roof. 1½ storeys. Various old casement windows; C19 4-panel door,
the upper panels glazed. Gable stack to north. The lower part of one of the
arched braces to the open truss is visible on the ground floor, with evidence
for the other. In the room to the south, a C17 bridging beam and storey post
with shaped head. The south cottage is a parlour addition, probably of c.1600.
Timber framed and plastered, weatherboarded gable end to south; pantiled roof.
2 storeys and attic. Various old casement windows; C20 door. Heavy gable
stack at junction with hall range. Newel stairs (2 flights). Upper floors of
both cottages not inspected.
