Upper Ifold House

II

House. C16 extended to ends in 1930's. Timber framed, clad in red brick below,
tile hung above, the lower courses canted out over ground floor, and plain
tiled roofs with some courses of Horsham slabs on eaves. Two storeys with tall
multiple stacks on ridge to left of centre, further stacks to ends and rear.
Gabled bellcote on ridge to right of main stack. Two hipped roof dormers to
left of centre over pentice extension on ground floor. Tile hung, half-hipped
projecting block to right with first floor jettied. One window on first floor
and three windows below. Three diamond-pane first floor casements on old range,
three windows below. Link range set back to right with three windows on each
floor. Ribbed door to left of centre in old range, further doors on return fronts.
Interior:- Jowled main posts to frame, arched bracing exposed on first floor and
some old floorboards survive.
