Cemetery Lodge. 1857 (VCH, p28). Bargate rubblestone with ashlar dressings;
concrete tile roof. T-plan. 2 storeys; 2 bays, the right bay forming cross-
wing with a circular tower in angle with left bay. In Gothic style, windows
with cusped heads to lights and relieving arches. Chamfered plinth, quoins.
Left bay blind. Tower has a single-light window with impost band, eaves band
with trefoils and nail-head decoration below plain cornice, and conical roof
with decorative iron finial. Right bay: central doorway, now with window, in
chamfered 4-centred-arched surround under bracketed half-hipped canopy with
plain tiles; flanking quatrefoils; 2-light first-floor window; bargeboards. Two
rendered stacks at left stack, and one rising from near eaves of left bay.
