House. C17 origin with C18 and C19 alterations. Garden front: Ironstone
approaching ashlar. Steeply pitched C20 tile roof. 3 stone stacks on stone bases
to ends and ridge. L-plan. 2 storeys plus attic; 5-window range. Two C20 bay
windows flank Tuscan stone porch c.1800, Five 3-light casements to first floor
have wooden lintels and stone relieving arches. 4 gabled attic dormers of 1890.
Rear: 2 storey staircase-projections; 2-light stone mullioned windows, some with
hood moulds and label stops; wooden mullioned and transomed windows. Walls to
front and rear appear to have been heightened probably during C19 remodelling.
Park Close is the Headmaster's House, Bloxham School. Interior not inspected.
