1878. By Sir Alfred Waterhouse. Brick with terra-cotta dressings and enrichments. Deep coved eaves cornice. Exterior has character and is a good example of this architect's work. Elizabethan style with 2-light mullion and transom windows.

The Union buildings form a group.
