Uploader's Comments

Large ruff, doublet buttoned down the front, trunk hose, stocking with, shoes with bowed laces, and over all a long cape

Inscription translated as..

Here lies John Fettiplace, gentleman, who took as wife Margaret Andrews, one of the daughters of Thomas Braybrooke of Abington, Gentleman, and died the eighth day of February in the year 1602.

Here rest in peace John Fettiplace's bones,
Whose little corpse this little spot entombs.
His soul superior to the grave did rise,
Left his low sphere, and dwells above the skies
