Probably originally part of No. 8 (qv.) and then built out in late C18.
See also No. 2 High Street. Three storeys and attics. Rendered half
hipped tile roof. Parapet. Gable end to road with one window, flush
framed with frieze and cornice, double hung sash with glazing bars.
Two and three light windows, wood mullions, with frieze and cornice.
Modern ground floor shop front.

Nos. 5 to 9 (consec) with the County hall form a group.
