4/45 Old World Cottages

House. Dated 1583. Altered early C18. Brick with thatched roof. South front
of one storey and dormer attic. Central door within timber doorcase composed
of sunk quadrant mouldings tongue stopped to foot. Stepped brick plinth.
2 C20 casements to either side of door. Gabled roof has 3 through eaves
dormers, each with gabled tiled roofs and casements. East and west gable ends
of 1583 build, the former carrying datestone 1583 and initials T.G.M.G. Flint
and brick. East gable has diamond brick chequerwork and brick kneelers.
Against this gable a pantiled C19 outshut. Gable parapets at this end have
moulded kneelers. Internal gable end stacks on moulded bases, both rebuilt.
West gable rebuilt early C18.
