House. C17, N extension later C20. Timber frame roughcast with steep
thatched roof with scalloped ridge, half-hipped at E end. Matching
plastered brick N wing with thatched roof half-hipped to N. A 1 1/2
storeys, 3 cells plan, internal chimney house, probably designed with a
lobby entrance on N but now facing S with recessed entrance in N wing.
Large internal chimney in front roofslope 1/3 from W end. 1 swept
dormer with 2-light casements, at the eaves both to E of chimney. 3
casement windows to ground floor. Internal chimney has 3 flues, single
flue to large external E gable kitchen chimney. C19 internal small W
gable chimney. 1½ storeys N extension has 2 similar swept dormers on E
but broad N gable with 2 windows on each floor and central door reached
by bridge over stream.
