House. Possibly late C17/early C18, altered and extended early C19. Coursed
squared marlstone with some ashlar dressings; Stonesfield-slate roof with
part-rendered ashlar stack. 2-unit plan extended to rear. 2 storeys. 2-window
front has 3-light leaded casements at first floor in possibly C19 chamfered
stone surrounds with labels; at ground floor is a similar window to right, a
plank doorway to left and, to extreme left, a blocked doorway. Right gable has a
parapet. Gable wall of C19 rear wing has 2-light stone-mullioned windows with
labels, at ground and first floor, and in the parapetted gable is a moulded
square panel containing a quatrefoil. Interior not inspected. Rear wing way be
by Thomas Rickman or Thomas Fulljanes. Possibly originally an extension of No.45
(q.v.).
