House, now inn. Early C19. Red brick with painted dressed sandstone
plinth and slate roof. L-plan. 3 storeys. Plinth; integral brick
end stacks and brick ridge stack to rear wing. 3 bays; 16-pane glazing
bar sashes with painted stone cills and lintels; 12-pane to first floor
and tripartite to ground floor. Central 6-panelled door (lower 2 flush
and top glazed) with 3-part rectangular overlight and Greek Doric doorcase
with unfluted three-quarter columns, frieze and triangular pediment.
2-bay right-hand return front. 2 storey wing at rear. Interior not
inspected.
