Farmhouse. Datestone 1776, incorporating earlier house, later additions
and alterations. Reddish-brown brick with stone angle quoins and coped
verges on kneelers, plain tile roof and external end stacks, stepped to
right. 3 storeys, toothed eaves cornice; 3-window front, cross-paned
sashes in original openings with plastered heads and projecting keystones;
centre gable with datestone "GB/1776" and gabled eaves dormers to left and
right, all with stone coping; central entrance, late C20 glazed door in
panelled doorcase having rectangular overlight with decorated bottom edge
under flat-roofed porch, supported on wooden posts. Long lower brick
range at right-angles to rear on right, probably conceals timber frame.
Interior: noted as having a late C18 staircase with elegant turned
balusters to centre hall.
