Church of St Andrew

A Grade II Listed Building in Thringstone, Leicestershire

Foundation stone, Church of St Andrew, Thringstone

Uploader's Comments

This sandstone foundation stone, in the south east buttress of the chancel, has not weathered well compared to the local granite. The block also may have split in compression, and since been repaired. Laid in 1862 by Rev ... ther. I would assume this refers to the Rector of nearby Heather. (Photo Oct 2009).
