William Rich (1755 - 1811) was a pastry cook who could see the steeple of St. Bride's church from his house. This inspired the tiered wedding cake that he created. These are the party frock of his wife, Susannah, and part of her embroidered wedding dress. Their children were among the first people to be vaccinated by Edward Jenner.
