1899. Red brick, glazed on ground floor, above, red brick with orange brick banding,
increasing in width to top of building. Slate roof. 4 storeys and dormers and
1 in gables (5 and attic facing Arnold Circus). 5 bays at ground floor level
of which 4 sash windows are under segmental arches. Door with semi- circular
arch, chequered tympanum and narrow flanking windows with pilasters. Canted oriels
from 1st to 3rd floor. Between oriels, recessed vertical panel with bipartite
sash windows under segmental arches with double stucco keystones. 4th floor,
bays separated by brick pilasters, windows with semi-circular arches and stuccoed
tympana. Large white stucco sill band separates 1 bay 5th floor. Bipartite sash
window. Steep gable above. Facade to Calvert Avenue 17 windows, 3 sets of gables.
Ground floor has contemporary shop fronts set under a common cornice.
