GV II

Terrace. Mid C19. Stuccoed brick, channelled to ground floor. Roof concealed.
4 storeys, attic and basement. Each 2 bays, Nos 10 and 12 breakforward to form
central feature. Quoins to breakforward and to No 18. Projecting Tuscan porches
with modillioned cornices. Tripartite sashes. 1st floor balcony has lost
balustrade. Casements in round-arched keyed and pilastered surrounds with
pediments. 2nd floor segment-arched keyed sashes with consoles and cornices.
3rd floor segment-arched sashed in keyed architraves with cornice. Attic sashes
with glazing bars,in keyed architraves. Nos 10 and 12 have 2nd and 3rd floor
windows in triple groups. Panelled parapet. Iron basement railings.
No 2 in process of renovation at time of resurvey. This terrace, with Nos 1-13
opposite (qv) form the surviving section of a monumental composition opening onto
Sussex Gardens (qv).
