Terrace. Probably 1840s. Brick, stuccoed, channelled ground floor. Roof
concealed. 4 storeys and basement, each house 2 bays. Six bays to the south
break forward slightly and have an attic (also true of Nos 2-22 opposite,qv) and
probably indicate the original intention to create a symmetrical terrace
which was interrupted by the construction of the taller terraces to the north.
Channelled pilasters to projecting bays. Pilastered entrances. Tripartite
sashes in keyed vermiculated surrounds. Iron balcony to 1st floor and sashes or
casements in architraves with pediments on consoles. Segmental pediments to
outer 6 bays. 2nd floor sill band. Sashes in architraves with cornices. 3rd
floor sashes in eared architraves. Cornice, part modillioned. Attic with sashes
and coping to projected bays. Iron basement railings flank steps to entrances.
