Posting and coaching house, now restaurant. c.1800. For
William Bell. Hammer-dressed watershot stone with slate
roof. 3 bays and 3 storeys. Quoins. Central entrance has 4-
panel door with fanlight and an open pediment on 3/4
columns. Sash windows to each floor of bay 2 and paired
sashes to bays 1 and 3 all with square-cut stone surrounds.
Brick gable chimney stack. 2, 5 and 6-light recessed flat-
faced mullion windows to rear which has taking-in doors to
upper floors. Bulletin of the Saddleworth Historical
