C17 to C18. 2 storeys and attics. Ground floor brick, No 27 with colourwashed
tilehanging on upper floors and Nos 23 and 25 with colourwashed mathematical
tiles. Hipped tiled roof with 3 hipped dormers and moulded eaves cornice.
5 sashes, 2 of which are double-hung. Above the ground floor is a coved
shaped cornice or hood extending the whole length of the front beneath
which the shop fronts have been built. Of these shop fronts only one
original window with small square panes survives in the centre of No 25.
Nos 23 and 27 have had theirs replaced by small modern shopfronts. No
23 has a south wing behind with a gable, now weatherboarded, The rear
elevation has 3 tiled hipped gables.

All the listed buildings on the South side from Nos 17 to 57 form a group.
