Stained glass south aisle window to Julia wife of George Hodges d. 9th Jan 1910. Around the figure of Christ displaying the stigmata (wounds he received on the cross), are 24 -elders-, (Revellations 4.10), in this case three each of queens and kings, and below, 18 saints. Among them are Moses with the commandments, King David with harp, Blessed Virgin Mary with lilies, John Baptist dressed in animal skins and St George in armour with cross on shield. In the centre a saint holds a quill and a scroll with -Thou art worthy O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power (Revellations 4.11)-. (Photo Mar 2008).
