South transept stained glass window To Rev Richard Lucas, d. 13th Feb 1846. Bottom panels: Anunciation, the angel visits Mary. Birth of Jesus in the stable. John the Baptist baptizes Jesus - the bird represents the Holy Spirit. Middle panels: Jesus carries the cross to Calvary Hill. Crucifixion. The body of Jesus is laid in the tomb. Upper panels: The angel at the tomb -He is not here, He is arisen-. The risen Jesus appears. He ascends into heaven. (Photo May 2008).
