Part of the brewery premises, curving round the south-west
corner of Crown Street into Westgate Street. Early to mid C19.
In random flint with red brick; concrete plaintiled roof.
Divided into 8 bays by plain flat red brick pilasters. Single
storey. Adjoining on the Crown Street frontage is a further
single-storey range in dark flint and red brick with a
pantiled roof. The roof has a raised louvred continuous
ventilator along the top, also pantiled, and both roof and
louvre have heavy moulded pierced and fluted bargeboards.
Above the north end of the louvre is a cast-iron open bell
turret with a pointed lead-covered roof.
