C1880 an imposing purpose built Gothic jewellery works of 3 tall storeys. High
quality red brick with painted stone, cut brick and engineering brick dressings.
Varied ranges of windows to each floor on moulded sill courses. Deep bracketted
cornice and parapet. Steep gable end roof with copings. The windows are set in
pointed arcades to upper floors whilst on the ground floor they have similar
surrounds in pairs but are symmetrically distributed about the waggon entrance to
the left and off centre office doorway. All are linked however by a drip mould
string with stiff leaf stops and with ornate dragon carved stops between the pairs
of windows. Lively lettering to the name of the works set in the band below the
first floor. Quite unaltered works elevation in Birmingham Gothic of the 1880's and
now a rare survival on this scale.
