C1840 2 storey pair of small, semi-detached, 3 bay stucco villas with Grecian
details. Each front has flanking quoin pilasters; plinth; sill band and
frieze. Hipped slate roof overall with shallow boxed eaves; corniced chimneys,
ornamental posts. Revealed glazing bar sash windows in moulded architrave
surrounds on first floor and on ground floor in eared Egyptianised architrave
surrounds with acanthus and anthemion decorated keystones. Late C19 canted
bay window with entablature inserted to right hand ground floor of No 17.
Projecting architrave surround doorways with panelled reveals and soffits,
cornices on consoles. No 16 retains original door with incised Soanian
patterning, rectangular fanlights.
