C1870. Red brick with stone dressings; slate roof. Two and 3 storyes; 3 bays
that on the left advanced and gabled. Central buttressed and gabled porch
with moulded arch dying into imposts with unglazed sexfoil opening over,
flanked, on the left, by a 2 light window with central colonnette, tympana
with arabesques and hoodmould of diagonally alternating bricks and, on the
right, by a 3 light bay window with shaped slate roof and iron cresting
forming a balcony to the window above. First floor windows all sashes.
First a pair with shouldered flat heads within a frieze of stone and blue
brick bands with inlaid medallions, then a 2 light window with central
colonnette and tympana to each light and half a tripartite window with brick
relieving arches and stone tympana. In the gables, two 2 light windows with
central colonnettes. Centrally in the roof a big wooden gabled dormer window.
To the left, a single storeyed addition of C1905 in Arts and Crafts Tudor.
Red brick with red sandstone mullion and transom windows. Straight parapet of
grey stone with chevron pattern in tiles on edge. Big rectangular bay window.
