C1855. Red brick; stucco dressings; slate roof. Two storeys; 3 bays. Entrance
porch on the right hand return facing Highfield Road. It has fluted Ionic columns
and square piers supporting an entablature with intricate iron balcony above.
Similar iron work between stucco blocks forms quasi balconies to both ground
and first floor windows. Ground floor windows have moulded frames and
cornice; first floor windows have shouldered frames, bulgy frieze and cornice
which latter forms part of the eaves cornice. Brick chimney stacks at the
corners of the roof. Front to Harborne Road identical except that central
ground floor window is a shallow rectangular bay window, tripartite and with
arched glazing bars at the corners. All windows with glazing bars. A 2
storeyed service wing projects towards Highfield Road to enclose a forecourt.
